The new Laredo Marina located in the bay of Santoña is projected under the shelter of a curved jetty more than 700 m long. This breakwater defends the three docks from the waves, two of them sports and one fishing, in addition to the current port. The southern area of the new port is closed by means of a vertical counter-junction about 250 m long that extends from the current one and continues perpendicular to it up to the mouth. In the central area of the surface of the new port is projected an island and an internal contradiction that delimits the channel of access to fishing areas while protecting the marina from waves from outside and accommodates the Club Nautico and the Capitanía Marítima. In order to access it, a 24-metre-wide longitudinal concrete jetty has been designed, supported on piles that connect it to the land area and which also separates the sports area from the fishing area without being a barrier to the passage of water. The port has a capacity for 1,095 boats, 240 parking spaces. Port area: 113,000 m2 sports area and 79,000 m2 fishing area and boatmen. 140,000 M3. Block concrete for the formation of an outer layer of embankment dam. 330.000 M3. Dredging in rock. 315.000 M3. Rock breakwater. 128 Units Pantalan Module. 17.830 M2.
