The building, built between 1895 and 1896, is the work of the pre-modernist architect Josep Vilaseca. The aim of this project is to convert the four-star Condes Hotel into a five-star luxury hotel (Monument Hotel). The project has great aesthetic relevance, in the Hall we find a bar with a circular bar lined with skin and illuminated with a design lamp. The restaurant area is decorated with FENDI furniture and architectural bronze. It is separated from the Hall by two fountains, an upper one that, fused with the light, projects the waves of water. The construction also stands out for its polychromatic modernist façade, formed by diverse materials such as exposed brick, natural stone, ceramics and wrought iron.
